Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract Source
Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi, also named Chinese scullcap,  is a herb of the genus Scutellaria in the Labiatae family. It usually grows in the desert or on the sunny slope. In China, Scutellaria baicalensis mainly distributes in Gansu, Shaanxi, Shandong, Shanxi and others. Most provinces and regions in the north can be planted. The root of Scutellaria baicalensis can be used as a medicine. The main active ingredient is flavonoids, among which the content of baicalin and baicalein is the highest. Scutellaria baicalensis and its active ingredients have great pharmacological effects. Cosmetics mainly use its dried roots.
